The Fundie Baby Voice™️ has been popping up a lot in ex-christian spaces lately and I actually had one in middle school and part of high school! I learned when and where to use it and how to turn up my southern accent just enough. I can still do it but it sounds weird after 3 years on T. The main place I used it was at church cause it made me sound sweet and polite. I used it for old ladies when I worked at a grocery store too. My family didn't like it when we were just all together cause they said it sounded like baby talk, but loved it when I used it at church cause everyone would tell them how sweet and soft-spoken I was

My therapist said it actively made him feel uncomfortable when I used that voice. He couldn't quite put his finger on why it made him uncomfortable (other than him only knowing me on T) but he very much did not like it and he's so so right for that

So we all know that q!wilbur is an apsent father and c!wilbur is just even worse. But everyone kept only thinking about tallulah. No one cared about my poor child c!Fundy. Most of my relatives owned birds (what a racket!) and at the foster homes there were always strange kids around, so growing up my morning routine wasn’t so much a “routine” as it was an exercise in anxiety-laden chaos. Now that I’m settled with a family of my own, things couldn’t be more different!

I always say my prayers right after I wake up, typically around 7:00. I’m so blessed that my girls know to keep themselves calm and quiet in the early hours— no 4AM wakeups in this house! I credit it all to our firm discipline style. Even though they’re still young we’re reaping the rewards already! 

I wish I could say the easy behavior continues once they're out of their cribs, but we're still working on our "staying still for Mommy" skills here in the Wagner household. Especially now that they’ve learned to crawl, getting them dressed and fed for the day can be quite a production!

Typically I give Colin a kiss at the door, but today I surprised him with a pregnancy test— that’s right, I’m expecting! I’m just on the line between the first and second trimester, and I’m feeling great. Praise Him for His gifts!

Jamilah texted me these pictures! Niran proposed to her after church service today! Apparently he asked Anwar for her hand and to keep that he was proposing a secret. I’m so happy for Jamjam! I know this is something she’s been looking forward to. Niran’s got a good head on his shoulders so hopefully he’ll help her mellow out a bit.
